Political strategist and fundraiser Joyce Aboussie was U.S. Rep. Dick Gephardt’s right arm until he retired in 2005. Though best known for her involvement in getting top Democrats elected to office, she also helped pass several ballot measures and played a key role in the effort to bring the Rams to St. Louis. Aboussie runs two businesses: Telephone Contact Inc., a survey, research and voter-contact company; and Aboussie & Associates, a strategic consulting firm. She also devotes considerable time to her favorite charitable cause, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
